In September 2020, COI Partners invested in ResearchGate as part of a growth round. ResearchGate will use the capital for further growth through the development of new marketing verticals and the expansion of its platform to become the primary source for scientific research. COI Partners acts as a sparring partner to the management team, especially in strategic matters. Since 2020, COI Partners has been represented on the Supervisory Board by Dr. Ralph Eric Kunz.
